Keeping your commercial motor vehicle (CMV) fleet operating legally requires an understanding of complex IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) and IRP (International Registration Plan) regulations.

Would you be able to provide an IFTA auditor with the following documentation?

IFTA/IRP Audit Documentation Requirements:

  1. Accurate list of IFTA/IRP-qualified vehicles
  2. Previous IRP renewals
  3. Previous quarter's IFTA tax report
  4. IFTA decals (balance and tracking)
  5. Individual driver trip reports or GPS coordinates from onboard technology (recaps not permitted)
  6. Fuel receipts or billings
  7. Bulk reconciliation withdrawal log and invoice from fuel provider
  8. Fuel and mileage for each unit in each state (in summary format)
